We seem to be in a world where everyone wants results yesterday. Time and time again people want quick fixes. Quick fixes like putting a bandage around a ripped finger: yeah youll help the issue for a while but youre not dealing with the problem. That is the same as going on a drastic calorie reduction. Yeah youll lose weight in the first week but thats because youre eating next to nothing. Of course that will happen! Dieters have been made to think that quick fixes and unrealistic transformations are achievable. Get massive in 4 weeks? More like 4 months. Minimum. Even then weight is not a determining factor for success. Yes tracking weight can be a useful measurement at the start but the further you go into a deficit you need to look at other measurements. Measurements such as; body fat percentage hip to waist ratio and the old fashioned method which is largely forgotten these days – the mirror! In addition take progress pictures!
